A family tradition rooted in the world of sweets
After training in Japan, Ken Ochiai opened a Japanese pastry shop in Barcelona in 1983 alongside his father, Takashi Ochiai.
He spent over 25 years in Japan mastering the art of wagashi—traditional Japanese pastry. This deep expertise is reflected in Pastisseria Ochiai: a warm, family-run space that offers Japanese rice and flour dumplings, gingerbread, and green tea and matcha cakes. While the setting is cozy and welcoming, it never strays from the excellence and precision expected of Japanese craftsmanship.
Today, Pastisseria Ochiai features a seasonal menu, where flavors shift throughout the year to highlight fresh, high-quality ingredients.
